Deutsche Tiefbohr-Aktiengesellschaft (a public limited deep drilling company) was established in 1899. The business objective was the manufacture of all kinds of mineral oil products. In 1911, the name of the company was changed to the Deutsche Erdoel-Aktiengesellschaft (DEA). RWE-DEA Aktiengesellschaft für Mineraloel und Chemie (RWE-DEA public limited company for mineral oil and chemistry) came into being in 1988 on the basis of takeover by RWE AG.

RWE Dea AG was looking for a simple and effective solution for administering internal image data and decided on ASPENDO_media from braintransfer. A concept for archiving image data and generating keywords was also created for this customer.
