The film studio near Potsdam was established in 1911 and is one of the oldest large-scale film studios. The Babelsberg studio is currently the largest connected studio complex in Europe. With 16 studios over 25,000 m² and outdoor scenes over an area of 17,000 m², all phases and areas of film production are taken care of at one location and national and international film and television producers find perfect conditions. Internationally renowned films from recent years, e.g. “The Pianist”, “V for Vendetta”, “The Bourne Conspiracy”, “Aen Flux” or “Valkyrie” are a few successful examples.
